Full Spectrum Doula
Serving Fairfield County, CT
If you've got enough gear, stuff, and things to last you a while, consider putting a doula on your wish list. A birth doula or postpartum doula is a great gift from mom and dad (grandma and grandpa), or a group gift!
Doula services are a special gift
for a new family.
Doula Services
Doula services come in many forms and I offer a myriad of perinatal services throughout Fairfield County, CT to support you and your growing family. From the prenatal period, through birth and beyond, an experienced and knowledgeable doula can be one of the best ways to prepare for your new baby. Whether you are planning your birth or trying to secure a good night's sleep, my varied experiences with newborns, childbirth education, essential movements for optimal labor and birth prep, postpartum support, or lactation consulting, can make a difference.
It all begins with being informed. As a certified Childbirth Educator, I share evidence-based information to help you understand various details of pregnancy, labor, birth, and more. I offer Baby Care Basics to help acquaint you with newborn needs as wells as an overview for breastfeeding essentials. I work in partnership with two doulas in order to share our collective knowledge with our clients and offer a full spectrum of ongoing support through weekly prenatal and postpartum meetings.
Birth is a sacred time and creating a good support team has proven to result in better outcomes and a more positive experience. I practice traditional physiologic principles with respect to modern protocols in order to carry out your vision of birth in the best way possible. My Spinning Babies training and Body Ready Method certification have been invaluable! From unmedicated to epidurals, from vaginal to Cesarean or VBAC, every birthing person I have supported has her own birth story and it is unique. I support at hospital births, birth centers, and home birth, making wherever you choose to birth your safe space and a special experience.
As you bring yourself back from birth, take this time to find your footing with your new family dynamic and bond with your newborn. As a postpartum doula I continue to educate and advocate through professional lactation support, sleep and soothing techniques, companionship and postpartum mood management, as well as strategies for getting through the day and night.
My minimalist approach is a great way to help you filter all that's out there and focus on what you need to know and when. I continuously keep you informed and focused while helping you navigate some of the other choices that come your way.
I serve Greenwich Hospital, Stamford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, The Danbury Birth Center, Yale, and some hospitals in Westchester.
